Assessment Weekend

To give you a chance to meet us and vice versa, SUOTC conducts an Assessment Weekend following which membership for the 05/06 Academic Year will be confirmed.

The weekend starts in the evening of Friday 14th October, concluding on the afternoon of Sunday 16th October 2005.

It is essential that you attend this weekend, in order to become a member of SUOTC.

Details

Weekend Content
The weekend is spent doing some enjoyable, usually challenging, activities in order to assess your suitability, and there is a (very!) good party on the Saturday night.

Also, you will be required to spend some time completing relevant documentation to process your entry into SUOTC. Should any applicants have tickets to a Freshers Ball on the Saturday night, this can be accommodated and transport can be arranged. However, we will expect to see you back on Sunday morning 'sharp'. Otherwise, full attendance is expected.

Nb. attendance at the Assessment Weekend is mandatory if you are to join SUOTC.

Transport
Transport to the assessment weekend will be provided; pick up/return details plus any admin requirements will be issued at Freshers Fayres.

Dress
Dress on arrival is 'casual' with 'smart casual' for the Saturday evening function. Dress for the remainder of the weekend is tracksuit and trainers with some form of outdoor protection e.g. waterproof in case of inclement weather.

Meals
Meals will be provided.

Accommodation
Accommodation and bedding will be provided as will knives, forks, spoons, etc. You will need your own washing kit, towels, etc.

Bar
There is a bar facility available so please bring some spending money with you.
